The MSA Orphan Sponsorship Program, in partnership with The Afri-Can Connection, is organizing a BBQ on Wednesday, July 8 and Thursday, July 9. The time of the event, taking place in the Arts Lecture Courtyard (between Arts Lecture and Dana Porter) is 11:00am-4:00pm on both days, insha’Allah.
All of the BBQ’s proceeds will be going towards building a well in Larabanga, Ghana, a village that has no source of clean water.
We also need volunteers and would love if you could help, please email us with your availability at uwmsa.orphans@gmail.com.

The UW-MSA Orphan Sponsorship Program will be holding a meeting this coming Thursday March 5th @ 5:00PM in SLC 2143! This is your opportunity to do more than just listen about the suffering of Muslims in the news and actually do something about it! The onus is on all of us to make an effort, so come out and show your support.
We’ll be discussing what the OSP is, what we’ve accomplished and what you can do to help.

OSP Squash Tournament Winter ‘09
Sign up and make a difference in the life of a child. All money raised will go towards worldwide orphan relief.

Fall 2008 Kick-Off Meeting
The Orphan Sponsorship Program invites you to the Fall 2008 Kick-Off Meeting this Wednesday, 6:00pm @ MC 2017! We’ll be discussing our goals, events, other projects for the term, and how you can get more involved. You’ll also learn more about our past accomplishments and we’re interested in any feedback or suggestions you may have for the program. Following the meeting, there will be the free regular Iftar provided by the MSA!

The end of term meeting is taking place this Tuesday on July 22, 2008 at 5:00pm in SLC 2134. If you’re interested in learning more about the UW-MSA Orphan Sponsorship Program or have any suggestions/comments for us, please come out to the meeting. Anyone and everyone is welcome! It is with great pleasure, we’d like to announce that the 2nd annual Orphan Relief BBQ was a tremendous success! Our initial goal of raising over $1000 was nearly doubled as were able to raise $1928.27 in the end! Not only did we surpass our financial goal, but it was very heart-warming to see so many people coming out and helping with the cause. None of this could have been done without the help of our volunteers and we greatly appreciate all your help!
