Biography of the Sheikh:

Sheikh Alaa Elsayed was born in Cairo and moved to Canada in the late 70's. He is one of the latest tutors of Alkauthar and he is the director of religious affairs for the Islamic centre of Canada. He is the imam at the largest masjid in Toronto where he also deals with a host of social issues as well as inter faith, youth work and tv shows.

 

He is a dynamic teacher who has years of invaluable practical experience working with the Muslim and wider community.
